The value is there but I don't believe you can have a conditional pick for someone is isn't a UFA at seasons end(it hasn't been done before anyway). Patches is signed for another year.
It has been reported by multiple sources on TSN and TSN Montreal 690 that a young NHL ready center has to be included in a package for Patches. Maybe they can flip some of the assets for a center but a center has to be included from everything I have heard/read.
