BIG trade with AZ

Description
Hags goes on waivers and if no one picks him up he goes to WBS or Europe. The AZ trade gives us future prospects and picks. Seems like the only thing the Pens have plenty of is goaltending. Domi and Chychrun gives us prospects for down the road. Green gets us through this year and maybe signs for less in the off-season or we go after a free agent. But bottom line is Letang (my fav Pen) is looking slow and is making bad decisions. Maybe it's time for a change of scenery. Malkin and Letang will get fans to AZ arena and will help them grow as a team for the next 5+ years.

Letang and Malkin aren't waiving for Arizona never in a million years and i doubt the Yotes have much interest either.

even after this trade it leaves AZ with $6-7mil in cap space. Plenty of room for a couple signings.

Yea forgot about that NTC for both. But this is fantasy right? And I think the Yotes would jump at the chance of getting Malkin and Letang. Maybe not for the price I have but that franchise needs superstars. Even if they are older than Matthews or McDavid. Both Letang and Malkin can still produce at high levels and would do nothing but improve AZ's team. IMO

for the return of prospects and picks. Sid and Geno might have 5 maybe 7 years left of good production. What do the Pens have for after they're done. Nothing. We trade our picks away for the win now thought process, which is fine everyone wants to win now, but I'm starting to think of the Pens in 2021 and beyond.

Right, but what you're not taking into consideration is ARZ doesn't spend to the cap. ARZ is one of the cheapest franchise, so much so that they acquire bad contract (low actual salaries) so they can reach the cap floor. Until ownership is willing to spend to the cap ceiling and not the floor, the ARZ organization will always be a joke.

Wow the worst deal ive ever seen. Malkin alone could get you all that. Letang could probably too. Two generational players. One of our top prospects too in sprong. What a joke!

Malkin and Letang are great players, but neither get 4 players and 4 picks by themselves. Everyone has seen Letang struggle this year so his return is going to be lower than expected. Sprong will never be in a Pens uniform as long as Sullivan is behind the bench after what happened. And Domi and Chychrun are both high value prospects.
