I really like Patch and if this trade were to go through the Jets 1st line would be amazing. I also really like Morrissey. He plays a very good game, plus a 1st round pick. As much as I would hate to see Patch go, I would agree to this trade.

Habs fans above...of course they like it they're bending the Jets over. The whole "take out the 1st and the Jets still likely don't do this" is soooo accurate. Jets looking for ANOTHER top 4 LHD, not looking to trade one especially for a LWer which they have a plenty!

Don't see Morrissey getting moved while the Jets are actively looking for another D-man.

Does Morrrisey play center? Mtl needs a center, not only that MTL should keep Patches, if he is moved it can be done anytime before the 2020 NHL trade deadline.

The problem on this site is most trade scenario's are done with that persons team only taking into consideration. I'm less against the deal in terms of value cuz that is up for debate but Im definitely in agreeance regarding WPG not willing to move a LHD in this deal. Its like MTL trading a center like Danault for a really good goalie prospect. Mayeb the value is there but that isn't the question is it.

Yeah I highly doubt WIN trade any of the LHD or any roster player for that matter. I think if WIN are serious buyers at the deadline, they start spending their prospect depth. Lemieux, Vesalainen, Roslovic come to mind.
