Here, one of the best scorers in the past 5 years, on a sweet deal for 2 Cup runs.... Oh, might as well give you a good Shutdown Center as well... Why stop there? here take a great goalie prospect... Thanks for the Prospect and 2nd round pick that's not even this year....

You think you can get Bellows, Pelech + 2nd for Pacioretty alone... Nooo sir! add McNiven and it's fair.
Plekanek is only a bonus... who cares... you think you can get 2x2nd rounder like Hanzal... or ask for Ho-Sang with it... no thanks!

I like how your prospect is "a great goalie prospect" and their clearly better prospect is "the Prospect"

Pelech also is a youngish defenseman and you aren't going anywhere with Plekanec.

LOL, I just looked it up. McNiven is an undrafted UFA with a 3.40 GAA as the BACKUP goalie in the AHL.

thanks for playing RobbStark

McNiven is a rookie in the AHL and is behind Lindgren, who is also a very good prospect and has shown he can hang in the NHL... So yeah. he is a BACKUP, for now...

the asking price for paciorety: 1st round draft pick + top prospect centre or LHD with offensive
the asking price for plekanec with 50% salary retain : 2nd round draft pick (MTL add a 4 or 5 round to be sure to receive the 2nd round)
A.Pelech and N.Kulemin value equal them self (cap dump for a 5 or 6 def)
so stil missing a 1st round and we will not give you a prospect goalie for free

That's fair, I don't know how your prospects have been doing. Bellows seemed like a good pickup at the draft, but to state a scoring winger is better than a goalie with starting potential is "Clearly better", you are no better than me.. We are both just trying to hype up our own prospects to make this very muddy trade look better/worse than it is.

Plekanec still has value. No GM would "throw him in" just because. That value has to be accounted for and would be in another trade.

Look up his stats in the OHL. His stats in the A suck because he plays for the worst coach in the league, who can't set up a defensive scheme to save his life. If you take a look at Lindgren's stats you will see that he's been average as well, while looking like a capable goalie in the big leagues. This is all because of Lefebvre.

Pretty much sums it up. Its the equivalent of a 21 YO Carey Price playing behind the habs this year. No matter how good you are, you cannot save the trainwreck of a team in front of him

The pens say no. Jarry for Nelson straight up is an overpayment.
