Based on Kypreos and Kingerski

Team: 2017-18 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 5, 2018
Published: Feb. 6, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
These are two potential trades based on what the media guys have mentioned. NOTE that the only thing the guys mentioned was a cole trade and a pacioretty trade and what each team might be looking for in return.
I personally thing both of these trades make Pit worse in the long run losing two youthful guys and two picks for a two year rental guy.
Give some thoughts
Trades
1.
PIT
  1. Fantenberg, Oscar
  2. 2018 4th round pick (LAK)
2.
MTL
  1. DiPauli, Thomas
  2. Sheary, Conor
  3. 2018 4th round pick (LAK)
  4. 2019 1st round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
MTL wants a first, a second, a roster player, and a prospect....
Ill give them a first and a fourth and a winger signed for a few years, and a lower tier prospect.

If they think they can repeat, they will certainly sacrifice draft picks to elevate their chances. That's just a given, at this point.

My only question is how much better these trades leave Pittsburgh this year. I just think they have bigger needs in their bottom six forwards.

I really doubt Montreal accepts that trade. Sure, you throw in a decent roster player and a first rounder but I don't see Montreal accepting that deal without Sprong

agreed.

They’d prefer Bellerive to Sprong. Bellerive is a center and is producing the same rate at his draft year+1 as Sprong was producing his draft year+2 and Bellerive is on a much worse team. Bellerive might be our top prospect ...

Sprong would (likely) be traded for Pageau if he were traded, though.

i am not sure those picks are accurate either
because its likely we retain cap which will mean better for PIT and better picks for MTL

Any trade for Pac has to include a young nhl center or real solid center prospect.
