Am I only one bothered with "upper-body/lower body" terms with injuries?

Description
!LTIR/IR TEAM!

Can every team just start to tell us fans the name of an actual injury or would it be forever like this? This just bothers me soo much, I would like to know exact name of an injury, even if your toe frickin hurts. I know Dallas is doing that the way it should be. Why they are not telling us the exact injury is something I don't understand and I won't understand ever.. I hate it so much. What is you take?

I kind of agree! The fans should be informed of what injuries are occurring most so that they can prevent injuries to their friends, families or teammates/players. I think the same thing with all sports, professional and with kids. Look at all the kids playing baseball getting Tommy John surgery, it is crazy!

not all teams would tell the truth all the time. so under the phoney guise of telling the truth, I'd just settle for what they say now....virtually nothing

they used to only do this at playoff time, even then it was annoying.

They do this because they don't want the other teams to use the injury to their advantage in the future.

if they publicly announced specifics of injuries then d***heads like matthew tkachuk and alex burrows would target those areas

The last two responses hit the nail on the head. Ive played a lot of hockey in my life and whether the players will admit it or not any information they have will be used. If you know someone has a separated right shoulder you will make sure you finish every check on them. This includes hits that a borderline penalties. If someones ankle is sore it will be targeted by slashes. Teams don't release too much information because they don't want teams to target their players.
The thing that bothers me is early in the season when injuries are less important and they still don't give out information.
