I think AZ would want players with higher upside or even more draft picks.

I agree. Dont think there is a deal to be struck for Boedker. Plus the pens really only need a depth forward for like a 3rd line. Boedker isnt a 3rd liner...he is top liner. Plus there is no need to give up assets when they can just sign him as a FA on July 1st. Should target a guy like Pearson, Pirri, or Nestrasil. Like the Polak deal, though.

As a Leaf supporter, hoping Polak is the "Winnick" of last year. Traded for picks at TDL and then resigns back with the Leafs. Agree with Sqm918 that the Pens (and other teams that probably aren't going to win theCup) that giving up good assets for UFAs is not wise. Save your money for your UFAs, RFAs, and other teams UFAs.

I agree that pens shouldn't target Bodker, but don't count them out of cup Contention. If they add a depth d such as polak and a depth forward such as grabner they definitely have a shot out of the east. When your core is Crosby malkin kessel letang fleury you'll always have a shot. Plus pens have a good supporting cast. Hornquist, hags, Kunitz, matta, Dumo, Daley etc are all very good supporting players. The key is for them to stay healthy.

I definetly agree that boedker isn't a perfect fit for the pens because he would cost a lot and they don't really need a top winger, but would obviously be one of the best bottom six players in the league if they got him.

Don't think the Yotes would give Boedker up that easily. Anyway the Pens don't need another top 6 winger. They need a top 4 D.

I guess I'm the only one but I honestly think what the Pens need is forward depth. Their bottom 6 hasn't been on the score sheet much at all this year. Adding some cheap scoring would be valuable. Boedker would be good depth scoring, but not cheap.
