I never understood the sabre support. there are just too many to jump over to even think of the players. montreal and buffalo seemed doomed to be non playoff teams for a few more years, that's a future prediction.

My thought was that there would be a youth movement this year. That didn't happen with the new management. Instead old free agents filled in the spots in the lineup. Which meant no playoffs.
Here you can pretty much put your crazy 2017-18 prediction that came true and your crazy 2017-18 prediction that did not come true.
For me:
Came true: I thought Ovi would have a really good season and he'd score a top of goals
Didn't come true: I had Arizona in the playoffs
you had Boston missing the playoffs too..... that's just plain crazy!!!

Also, i'm gonna bring back the old rival here and say that as much as the Penguins could win a 3rd straight cup, i think there are better teams, like Tampa.
