Ottawas owner is not going to want big contracts in return.

In what trade because if I’m Ottawa’s owner, I’m makin that Karlsson trade if the Sens take out C.White! I think adding C.White’s just too much, but Karlsson and Hoffman for Werenski+Atkinson+Wennberg I can see (U might want to have a 1st in there, tho, instead of the 2nd and 3rd. Just considering we’re talkin about trading a 25 yo 20 Goal Scorer and the Best D-man in the League).

The last goal of the game was scored with 65 seconds left, and the loss kept them at 65 points.

That 65 thing is weird but how does that mean he's done in Ottawa? Those things have nothing to do with each other.

That Columbus trade does't make sense of the Jackets. Werenski in the deal?

Why doesnt it make sense? The Jackets get the best D-man in the world and Hoffman and C.White. They dont need to release JJ into FA anymore (u can give him the money he wants and role), and ur new D pairs are:
      JJ-Karlsson
      Murray-Savard
      Cole-Nutivaara

Well, the get so called best dman in the world is a UFAfin a year, and Hoffman for two years. Is having the so called best dman in the world all that significant? Hasn't affected Ottawa's fortunes that much.

That CBJ trade value-wise is good, but in a longer scale CBJ is going to regret it. They might be unable to resign Karlsson after the next season.

Ok, I see ur point, but that’s like saying “How come the Oilers haven’t won a cup yet with McDavid?” Imagine Karlsson on a team that has the weapons to contest for the playoffs. Of course, u wouldnt trade for Karlsson unless there’s a built in extension. It’s stupid to rent the best D-man in the world!

Of course, there would b a built in extension. That’s always the thought on all GMs on this website that trade Karlsson.

So we lose a center we desperately need, make a lateral move swapping a RW for a LW, and then pay Werenski and a 1st for someone who makes our Cap Apocalypse situation in a year worse.

      Hell. ****ing. No.

One of the best teams you've made! I think all the trades make a ton of sense. However, I don't think we have to include white in that package to Columbus. Other then that, great team!

Well, folks are fools that Karlsson is keep on accepting extensions without exploring the market. Or that the Sens are going to allow all 30 teams to have access to Karlsson, and that they have trades in places with their teams.

Dude this is all scenarios if Karlsson denies the contract extension the Sens give to him. Of course the Sens are going to eventually allow him to negotiate with the other 30 teams if he doesnt want to resign in Ottawa (that’d just look bad if he wanted to go somewhere else and u didnt let him negotiate). The Sens would get a big load for Karlsson, but they’d only trade him to the team he wants to go to, and he’d have a say in about every part of the process.

So it’s not like we’re trading Karlsson against his will.
