Highly doubt the NYR deal gets done since they traded away Duclair a few years back. Who knows though...stranger things have happened.

When he was 19 and they were going on a cup run...... the Rangers are rebuilding now. He left Arizona on bad terms but not New York. They are trying to acquire young talent and draft picks.

McDonagh for Namestnikov??? What about the two A prospects, a first, and a conditional 2nd? Sure if they swapped one for one then I see your point but Namestnikov doesn't have the value of McDonagh. Last offseason, Washington traded Marcus Johansson for a 2nd and a 3rd and he's only one year older and has put up better numbers. You mean to tell me that Chicago's 2nd (which could be a high 2nd) and Duclair doesn't have value?

Murray is worth a low first rounder.... he lost his spot to Ian Cole and Columbus said they're planning on resigning him too. They just resigned Nutivaara as well. Anderson is a middle 6 forward so he isn't worth a 2nd line center, middle 6 scoring winger, and another defensemen? Give me a break.

no from nyr as they are trying to acquire top 4 defence and high picks and maybe elite players no need to downgrade a forward with a already strong top 9.

Columbus doesn’t need to take Anisimov and doesn’t need another young forward in Hinostroza, also Murray is better the Gustafson and younger then Gustafson, also why do we want a low first found pick. I get why Chicago would make yhis trade but it’s not there for Columbus to make is. Sorry..... no thanks.

Dude... once again, Columbus made a strong push to acquire Anisimov at the deadline. Maybe you don't want him but they do. Gustafsson replaces Murray in the top 6 and Hinostroza replaces Anderson in the middle 6. Then Columbus adds a second line center, which they need, and a first rounder. That's a lot of value.

They made a push for him but didn’t make a trade because Chicago didn’t want to retain some of the cap which Columbus wanted. They also didn’t know if PLD could be a number one center.... they have Wennberg as the number 2 and Jenner as the three and Dubinsky as the four.... Gustafsson isn’t a top 6 d and Murray is still younger and better. Hi Astro zzz make the team as a fourth liner with the depth on the right side we have also Anderson is better then Hinastrozza.... so as I said it helps Chicago but not Columbus, this trade makes Columbus worse so they wouldn’t make it. So no thanks. Remember even if something was talked about once doesn’t mean it happens at a later date depending on what happens between and the jackets have proved they don’t need Anisimov back.

Also 31st overall is basically a high second round pick......

No way NYR makes that deal and the Columbus deal is involving way too many pieces. Realistically, all they want is a C. This is really really bad.

We don’t even need another third line center making over five million!!!!!

How about removing Anisimov from the Chicago side and adding Toews (keeping about 2.5million) and we’ll add Wennberg and a first and maybe even Abramov.

So the trade would look like Toews (at about 8 million), Hinastroza and Gustafsson for Anderson, Abramov, Murray, Wennberg and our first round pick.

    Fair or not????

The NYR deal could probably be done without the pick. Duck was supposed to have been Arizona's pick, and was to be traded for Yandle at that draft. Sather and Maloney botched it; but figured it out at the trade deadline that season.

Murray is likely a get for a third-rounder. I don't see Anderson involved in such a deal. And, you might be overpaying or trying to move too many contracts all at once. As nice as it is to have him back, perhaps consider moving Saad elsewhere (Florida, Dallas, Anaheim, etc.) to free up cap space.

Wrong. Murray is playing opposite Nutivaara and doing extremely well.

That was then. This is now. The only way we could get Anisimov is if cap was retained, and in this scenario it's not. Given that Hinostroza just had a career year, we could end up adding cap. It's just not a very good deal for the Jackets.
