Description
Not to familiar with LAs line up. But let’s say Kopitar and carter are their 1-2C. Vilardi will either play wing or at most 3C. They can sign danault to play 3C who can pot 30-40 pts. As well as be a very good defensive centre. Reilly is just a sweetener to the trade. Young mobile D who showed some promises after the trade deadline. And then Pacioretty who you can slot LW beside either Kopitar and Carter and they would easily become the best centres he’s ever played with. He’ll get his usual 30+ goals 60+ points along either of them.

If you sell Pacioretty for Vilardi and Clague, dont go throw assets for O'Reilly. Montreal still misses the playoffs. I would try to unload Price and Weber as well.

I don't see LA giving up any their 2 top prospects, they barely have anything else. They can just sign JVR or Kane on July 1st

I would not give up a top 4 pick in this upcoming draft. There are 4 potentially elite players at the top of the draft this year so potentially giving away one would be tough.

Five stars for trading O'Reilly
I sort of think it is too much for O'Reilly as well. TBH IDK if MTL needs to blow up the team, if Price and Weber can be healthy again next year, they will make the playoffs. So keep Pacioretty, keep the 2018 1st, make a different trade for O'Reilly maybe Juulsen, Scherbak and 2019 1st. Then MTL keeps its core, adds a 1b/2 center.
