Best ever because you still have the money to sign Matthews and Marner, well thought out unless I am missing something

It is a lottery pick but in my sceniero the don’t win the lottery and TOR selects Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Obviously if they won they wouldn’t deal the pick to Toronto

jake gardiner is a solid top 4 D. but he's worth a mid 20's first round pick and a decent prospect. jesperi kotkaniemi would go in the top 20. u can draft who ever u want with that pick lol. but florida wont give up a high pick for gardiner. he's coming off a career year but needs a new contract in a season. plus dale tallon isn't know to trade high picks when the team is in its early stages. he actually talked about in a 31 thoughts podcast. i doubt you'll get a high first round pick for gardiner.

I personally wouldn’t consider Florida’s pick a top pick but that’s just me. It’s a good pick but not one you can argue is guaranteed to produce a NHL player in time. Just my thoughts and thanks for yours

Surprisingly I kinda like the Columbus trade just nit having to pay him 4 million..... he nit worth 4 million to play on the third d pair in Columbus..... if you were to keep 1-1.5 million it would be a perfect trade.... I’d add the right to Ryan Murray for you to keep 1.5 million.

No chance. Peeke is an important piece for the Jackets down the road. As a right side defenseman he would slot in nicely on the third pair in a year or two while they plan for Savard contract situation to take shape. Plus, Gavrikov is expected to come over next summer and Jarmo has said he will have a roster spot in Columbus. No need for Zaitsev.

Yeah, i'd also have to say no for the Jackets. Zaitzev's contract is high enough that I'd be worried about the Cap Apocalypse, and he's been having a horrendous year.

The only reason I’d come close to saying he’s was because he could be a great 5th/6th dman in this team. Play him with Nutavarra on the third pair and they could be good for years. Also that’s saying Tronto keeps some of his contract almost 2 million of it. That puts him around 2.5 for 6 years... we know from that it won’t change and as the cap goes up his contract doesn’t. It’s not a tarrible idea.

We're a little short on wiggle room unless the cap goes up a lot quickly. Spending $2.5m/year on a bottom pairing guy is therefore contraindicated.
