Mete is a good choice. He skates well, is smart but is he ready to take on top pair as soon as next season?

You are either a funny guy or struggle in assessing a hockey players talent. or you despise the Habs! not sure, but those are poor choices.

Yes but Schlemko was a healthy scratch and Gelinas was also a healthy scratch at AHL level. So, you can see my point!

Via trade. It appears Dallas`s top four is set for next season. I also read an article in his hometown that he wants to play. Does MTL try to trade for him?

You can package a current player on roster with some of the 2nd round draft picks. For example, Byron, Lehkonen and Hudon all seem to be somewhat similar players in terms of productivitiy. Byron a little ahead but the other two are much younger. So, do you offer a Byron (20 goal player) and three of the four 2nd round picks. Something like that.

Moore, De Haan and Johnson would all be UFA`s. Also if you compare Reilly and Mete, Reilly actually has better numbers than Mete. I like both players. It will be instesting who players next to Weber.

I prefer Reilly's size to Mete. I think they try Reilly first knowing what Mete can do. Reilly surprised me after the trade and showed he can skate and make the first pass out of the zone. Mete would be better off with Petry to start the year IMO.

I agree with you and I like Mete. I was surprised when I looked closely at Reilly. Some of the media were saying he does not hit. Nor did Markov. His first pass is usually very good. In 2009 many scouts were coming to see my captain and 1st line C. I told all the scouts, they are good players but do not neglect my D-man. They said he does not hit, does not fight, not a fluid skater. I said yup you are correct, but his plus minus is solid his first pass is excellent, count how many times he comes out of the corner with the puck. Almost ten years later, my Captain is not playing hockey. My 1st line C, played 1 season with Calgary and is now out of hockey and my slow, non hitting d-man is still playing in the current NHL playoff`s.

Dallas Top can include Heiskanen... leaving room for Lindell !
Something like: Pacc, Lekhonen, Reilly, 2nd for Lindell & Faksa?

Great story mate. Out of curiosity, who's your slow D?

As for the question above, I think my preferences are:
1a: De Haan (if a significant move is made to solidify 1C... unlikely scenario)
1b: Mete
2: Reilly (close second, I'd try him there)
3: None of the options you mentioned (except if there's some sort of a good Heiskanen trade?)

ha ha, all you have to do is look up the name of the D, see where he played in 2009 and voila, I am revealed! Not that it is a big deal but I rather enjoy the anonymity I currently have. The Halifax Mooseheads just hired a new head coach and people are calling me asking if I could put in a good word for them because they are hosting the Memorial Cup next year and Coach Veilleux still needs assistants. In all seriousness, I like Cap Friendly. It is fun. I get to chill and see what people think. Also my buddy Stephan Lebeau finally broke his silence this past week on the real reason why he left the Hamilton Bulldogs. I knew in Feb. 2015 when I had lunch with him, that he was leaving because he did not agree with how Sylvain was coaching and I agreed with him. I am glad Habs fired Sylvain. Too old school.

As for the D question about Weber's future partner. Maybe Mete and Reilly can do split duty.
