The two trades with Calgary and Edmonton are utter junk. Why would they trade Hamiton, a younger player that is sought after and needed by most teams for a player who is a good player with other great players.
The Letang deal is ahead scratcher. What were tou thinking? You want the Oilers to take on Letangs contract and all you want in return is Klefbom(younger and cheaper) and the tenth pick in the draft. Not even close. I l Ile Letang but his contract, age and injury history are all problems.

Calgary has 9 forwards signed for next year. They have no legitimate RWs. They deal from a surplus, defense, a player they don't use to their full potential.

The Oilers need a legit #1 defenseman before they waste any more of McDavid/Draisaitl prime years.

Everything I traded for has been discussed as being available.

You are correct the 10OVA and Klefbom have been rumored to be available, but I highly doubt they would make the Oiler deal as I believe they could get a better defenseman for Klefbom and the 10OVa. I think Letang is now on the downward side of his care, due to injuries and his salary only hurts the Oilers cap. Letang is making 7.25 mil for the next 4 years and they have other players they need to sign. You are essence getting 3 million in cap space and a top 10 pick. I do not see them making that deal.

I have never heard Hamilton being available.

Love the creativity and haven't seen anything along these lines proposed on here yet.

As a Flames and Pens fan, the Hamilton for Kessel is a really interesting option to deal from strength to address weakness on both sides. I think the pick going from Pittsburgh to Calgary would need to be a 2nd or a B prospect to make up for the difference in age between the two, but like the deal overall.

The Edmonton deal makes sense on both sides, but I don't see the Oilers pulling the trigger to give the 10OA plus Klefbom. Maybe throw Sheary into there and cancel the Carolina trade? Then the Oilers can use two of their trade chips to address their need for a 1RD and a winger who can score beside a good centre all at once.
