Essentially saying that unless I can go back and forth with you adding more on top of what your original offer was so that I can get a "Fleece" I'm not interested

TBH I don't understand this whole "tanking" thing. I get it, some teams want a better draft pick, but I've noticed some teams before the season were "tanking" to get a better draft pick, and before the season, i think the goal should be to at least create a decent team. Even if you're rebuilding, usually you'd want your team to be somewhat competitive. Is this just me or do others agree, too?

From the way I look at it, the goal should be the fastest route to get a stanley cup. Given that there were 5-10 teams that went hardcore all in- balls to the wall it makes the most sense to begin the rebuild asap since the middle ground of mediocrity is the worst place to be. With that said, when 10 teams start tanking, it defeats the purpose since you're not improving your odds as much as you would like.

Even though no one noticed, I started the season in somewhat of a "tank" mode, but have slowly rose in the standings/rankings throughout this whole season.
Granted I'm still not a playoff team, but I'm on the verge of dropping just outside the bottom 10 and I think I'm setting up nicely with a lot of young guys for next season.

And the one thing I'm most proud of.......I had 3 absolute untouchables, and I still have them now. And we all know how I like to pretty much trade anyone smile

Same, I consider it a good retool.
Lowered myself in the standings for this draft, yet have gained assets that can compete as soon as next year.
