How would they fit Tavares?

Description
I'm not sure how this would work, which player they would move and who the trade partner would be, but apparently Nashville is in on Tavares. How do you think this might go down if they get him?

well first if Tavares is going to Nashville it's for a cup not 12M he'd probably make about 1.5 less than that at least. And 4.1M is a lot for a 4th line C so I'd probably move him when you have a perfectly capable one sitting there at 2M.

Move Turris put a league min contract in the press box boom problem solved. MTL, CAR both looking for C's and have draft picks/prospects that can be sent down to continue development. Turris for Bean maybe?

jarnkrok and smith-- doesn't kill your team in terms of depth and gets rid of 6 mill in cap. will help giving ellis his next deal as well

Interesting thought abiu taking less. We’ll see what he’s most motivated by. I would assume either Bonino or Turris goes

Something like that could work, but consider this when evaluating Turris as a trade piece. In the Duchene trade, Turris was flipped from Ottawa through Colorado to Nashville. The predators gave up Sam Girard, Vladislav Kamenev, and a 2nd rounder for Turris. Girard is a year younger than Bean and is already in the NHL as a similar type of player, plus the Avs got two more pieces. I think it would take more than Bean to get Turris.

Bean was the start point but won't be much more than that I'd imagine. Still Bean and a pick or other prospect for Turris is fine it just can't be any significant salary and has to be able to go down to the minors

it's a pretty simple solve honestly. Turris would be who to trade. He'll get by far the biggest return and hopefully would net a really good d prospect and some picks/lesser prospect throw-in. Put jarnkrok at "3C" and allow the Bonino line from the playoffs to be the "4th" line. The speed of the 3rd line paired with ETs shot could cause some issues for opposing D but there's all sorts of combinations you can try out with Tavares, Johansen, Bonino, Jarnkrok, Sissons as your possible centers.

Habs might take Bonino for a late 2nd round pick, or start the conversation there ...
