A top 9 NHLer , young Physical Dman , and 2nd rder?? It all depends tho what team and which guy... but the dude just came off his best NHL season and has one of the scariest shots in the game .... if u get him on a good team with where he can be the #2-3 star he is gona light it up still.

I totally agree with u and to tell the truth , I hate the idea of trading the dude.... but ur rite about CGY and with the young talent yinz have , he would be sick there.
Kessel has a bad rep and i wasnt big on the trade at first when we got him , but ive loved him since then and he really is a great hockey player and is just one misunderstood dude.

Where has this rumor surfaced? I’d love for him to come to Buffalo, if they can get him on the 8-team list (unlikely I know.) Maybe with Botterill being here, it being a relatively small and loyal market, and a bevy of young talent that could convince him?

I've read that every season he submits a list of teams with cap issues so that he wouldn't be traded. If he didn't like it in Pitt anymore I would suppose BOS, MIN, CHI could be his obvious choices, FLA, mb SJ and NY area perhaps?

I think Pitt won't trade him quickly (pre/at draft, till mid-season) but will see how Sprong has progressed. I'd personally would love a PIT-FLA trade around Kessel-Trocheck but that could happen later when Phil's salary in net goes down after 2019/2020.

Mark Madden is the top guy for Pens news, he knows everyone with team and opened his radio show yesterday that hes heard from 2 reliable sources that Pens mite look to deal Phil and Phil is ok with it too. MM is not one to start a rumor like that unless it was 100% true
