Description
Not really in favor of trading kessel because of his offensive ability. if pitt does trade kessel, id like to get a LD, and wingers to replace phil's offense.... These transactions dumb or no?

I think that trade is pretty even. LA needs scoring which kessel can provide with kopitar, and pitt needs a top 4 LD which muzzin can provide. then kessels offense gets replaced by another sniper james neal (which malkin loved playing with him) and JVR to help with brassard. IMO I think this kessel trade improves their offensive depth and helping their defense

What has Sprong done, AT ALL, to allow him to be put on the top line and to justify moving Kessel to make room for him?

(Hint: the answer starts with "no" and ends with "thing")

You know the bar is set high when the guy wins the Cup in each of his first two years on the team and then when they get knocked out before a 3 peat, he's the first guy on the block.

Or hes on the block because kessel and sullivan do not get along. kessel does not want to play on the 3rd line and he wants to play with malkin more. plus he's still pissed that tocchet left.

the trade is not to make room for sprong. he's playing in the nhl full time next year whether kessel is in pittsburgh or not because he's out of options in the ahl. and I'm pretty sure their top forward prospect is going to play along crosby like he has before and not wasted away on the 4th line minutes

Ron cook (the guy who wrote the article) is a loser and is the same guy that suggests the penguins move Malkin every offseason. No reason the pens should move Kessel right now. Period
