Trouba wants to stay in Winnipeg, And besides that garbage offer doesn't get him. Doubt the Hawks have the pieces to land Trouba.

I wouldn't consider an offer with Jokiharju and our 2019 1st rounder (which who knows how early this pick could be) garbage

But I do doubt that we'll see any of Kessel, Pacciorretty, or Trouba on our team next year

Bottom line is that Winnipeg is the team of the future, And the Hawks are trending down. So why would Trouba want to play in Chicago? He wouldn't and other teams can still beat that offer.

have you not seen the absolute cap hell winnipeg is about to be in? good luck signing/extending wheeler, laine, connor, hellebuyck, trouba, myers, statsny, morrissey amongst other depth pieces with 25m in cap which includes a 5m increase in cap and not including almost 4m in perfomance bonuses that can be hit for next summer..... they are not the team of the future right now because they have to tear things down before getting back to where they are now. and i am sorry but i highly highly doubt many teams will want to trade more than a 1st, a good defensive prospect, a 3rd and another defenseman for a player with no extension.

Come on! This has to be a joke. Trouba just doesn't want to scrutiny that came last time when Chevy played hard ball with him (Trouba requested a trade and sat out because he didn't care for how WPG treated him) and Chevy won. The player loses out every time in these situations and he hasn't forgot. So Trouba wants to know sooner rather than later if WPG believes in him...contractually and monetarily... And by saying so in the public he puts the pressure on Chevy this time. Once Trouba finds out what Chevy's commitment level is...that's when we'll see whether Trouba really wants to stay in WPG. Trouba just wants fair market value and who can blame him especially after the hard ball tactics the first time around. If WPG isn't going to give that to him for the 2nd time...he wants out. It's 100% on whether WPG will commit.
