I just don't think Kessel fits what Chayka is trying to do. Chayka does indeed wheel and deal at the draft, but he hoards draft picks...not gives them away.

Pretty much you are trading Kessel for 5th OA, that's not close to enough for him at the moment.
And in what world does Phil agree to go to Arizona

If Tkachuk is available at the 5th overall then I do it. I could see him playing top 9 right away other than that no deal.

Wow, 1 star. Really? And you’re just gonna ignore the fact that I added Max Domi as well?

While I don't think Kessel gets traded there are a lot of Arizona connection being thrown around. His Relationship with Rick Tocchet, arizona needing to prove to OEL that they are serious about improving the team instead of stocking prospects year after year after year, the need for scoring punch.
At some point Arizona will have to make a deal to bring in some NHL talent. trading Domi wouldn't hurt them too much as they have Strome, Crouse and Merkley likely taking a spot or 2 on the nhl roster next season. Having some proven veterans to insulate the youth a bit would be great but idk if it is Kessel they get.
But over all not a bad deal. They don't need Jarry though as they have 2 goalies locked up for a while

Kessel doesn't fit the AZ build with the young guys they have. Trading 5th for Kessel would be a huge mistake for AZ in 3 years.

Arizona needs high end guys. No chance they trade pack to pack top 10 picks, especially in a very good draft.

I see Rust or Sprong involved in the trade for Domi.. And Sheary or Hagelin as well - Even then probably throw in a pick as well..

Would of given it negative one star if I could, and Domi is hugely overrated, struggles to creat chances, awful shot plus he barely shoots, questionable character and attitude and can't play defensively, Domi is young and still has value but I'd say similar value too Jarry, and I'd hate to see Domi on the pens
