    Gardiner would be a no go, The Canes don't need D coming back. More then likely the ask for Hanifin would be Nylander Carolina would ask for Larkin and rightfully so for Hanifin. No way this gets you Noah.

    Cool how about Marner to Canes for Di Giusseppe, Nordstrom, Martinook, and Fleury? A pile of crap is a pile of crap no matter how high you pile it.

    I think maybe some people underestimate the value of Sparks as a very good goalie who needs a shot at the NHL. I do understand saying quantity for quality might not work but Carolina needs a goalie, a d man back would be good and then two wild card players in Nielsen and Leivo to see what you can get out of them. Also Hanifin needs a new deal as of right now and if Carolina is as cash strapped as it sounds maybe they do deal him and no one wants to pay what they want. Just some thoughts

    Canes don’t need to trade him. Willing to if they get what they want back. Which is a young 1st line FW. Otherise they hold him. New owner. They operate in the red, yes. But a new owner. plenty of cap space

    Carolina isn't cash strapped.. they have room to sign JT atm.. In few years, maybe they'll need to move some people but unlikely with Williams contract ending freeing up another 4.5M next year

    Hanifin will get about 6-7 mill, and hes worth WAY more than Gardner and some 4th liners

    Im not sure how much of an upgrade he would be over Rielly especially with how nice Riellys contract is. But from a vlaue standpoint it probably is fair
