Tbh not sure i like zadina but the chances of this happening are very low because Jim benning said he wants a defencemen. But personally i would take zadina. Do u think the trade value is about even in the trade?

I think it would be a lot more even if MTL sent their 2nd as the kicker instead of their 4th.

I don't know enough about VAN players to guess what Tanev's value would be or to say what would be fair

I was just more curious to see who you would take at 3

I see Tkachuk and Zadina flip flopping there in a lot of Mock drafts

I think you're making the right call on Zadina though

I doubt Montreal trades down and gives up an additional pick for a player who, based on the statistics, slots in as the 3rd pairing RHD while making 4.5 million. I also don't think Montreal is going to take the 3rd pairing spot from Juulsen.

even with Tanev, Montreal finishes out of the playoffs, so what's the point for Habs. picking third.or even trading down from that spot is more valuable to Montreal than acquiring Tanev.

Tanev is a great shut down defenceman and is really sought after. Montreal would simply not get him, unless they trade Weber or Petry, since their R side is quite good right now. It's a pretty good trade for Montreal if this happens (unlikely)

I'd do this, simply to move Tanev for picks and prospects afterwards.
