So... the rumor is Klefbom and a 1st for Ristolainen, and it's an overpayment, but not by too much. The Caps need the hits and minutes, but not the power play points, and could get someone who matches Klefbom's 18 even strength points and has more hits (but also isn't remotely available) in Zadorov.

The closest I've found to a tough minute eating reincarnation of Orpik's snarl is Robert Hagg, whom Flyers fans are cool trading or Burakovsky, and they're fine throwing in a prospect named Vecchione. Price is high, but it's not like Trotz really played Burakovsky much on the way to winning the Cup, and Washington can probably sign Maroon cheaper than Bura, so why worry?

I’m a Caps fan and I love Gruby, but cmon. This isn’t fair, and I’d rather have a guy more defensively responsible. Trade Gruby for a first round pick and try and find a RHD elsewhere.
