1.) Reversed stupid p.c trades (Reinhardt, Hall. Not Strome, that was a cap dump for Mcdavid's contract.)

2.) We'll assume the oilers take the same players the Islanders did in the 2015 draft, with the picks given to the islanders for Reinhardt.

3.) Because Hall is never traded, Lucic does not get signed by the oilers to fill the need on the wing. He is most likely signed by the habs, the other main candidate to sign Lucic, back when he was in free agency.

4.) Hall is likely traded anyways, for a much fairer deal. An elite player, prospect, and a late first, will suffice.

6.) Loading up on defense, means the oilers go from the worst defensive team in the league to the best(at least on paper)

Obviously there is no way the oilers would be able to hold onto Pulju, Yam, Benson, Kyrou, Provarov, and all these prospects. Some of them would have to be let go. However it's better than trading Mat Barzal for griffin reinhardt...
