3 Blue CHip for Pacc is toooo much! and they will need to send some salary back to resign Doughty 8x9M deal.

You didn't notice the 3rd OAP pick going to LA also?

Let them keep kempe and the 1st, instead I'd do Vilardi, Clague and Carter for Pacioretty and the 3rd OAP.

Clague is a good prospect projected to be not worse than top 4. IMO this trade Canadiens win, not by a much...

that is interesting... i like this idea. Kings would definitely look good with Kotkaniemi in the farm but i still think Canads can do better by drafting 3rd and trading Patches in a more routine method

No doubt that it's possible...But I'm just pointing out what would be a fairer valued trade. LA is saving cap to resign Doughty and MTL gets players they need for specifically the positions they need to strengthen.

I would do this trade as a Habs fan. Trading away Pacioretty (31 years old) for 2 very young centers and a potential first PP defenseman would be amazing. On the other hand, the Kings would be depleted of prospects. Hence why we would give them the 3OA.

I think whats most important is, who does LAK like so much at #3? Does anyone value Zadina, Tkachuk or Kotkaniemi that much?

Will one of Kotkaniemi/Tkachuk/Zadina be that much better than Vilardi+Clague+? Assuming Pacioretty for Kempe and the 1st was done on the side.

I don't think so. I think us Habs fans need to relax with high expectations here. Their are only two teams who really "won" the lottery. Carolina and Buffalo. Montreal is in the same boat as teams 4-11. We just get to make first dibs of that group. That's a nice bonus but its not a Dahlen or Svechnikov.

You’re not getting the Kings 3 best young players for Pacioretty who is entering his 30’s even with 3rd overall. This isn’t Lombardis team who gives away futures too easily
