Why would they ever sign Joe to a 2 year deal for that price? Either he signs for dirt cheap or they let him walk as he really isn't needed.

SJ loyalty. similiar to Marleau Deal but chepaer for Age

Jumbo will get a one year deal. Not two.

They already said they weren't going to give Demelo an offer.

so shed 6M from my capspace. Still woudl have to find a way to sign Pavelski and 5 more roster spots with 7M

They aren't going to be able to sign Pavelski. Who would you prefer, a JT in his prime or a 34 year old Pavelski?

yes but tavares' purpose to leave NYI is to play with better players. Honeslty i made this to prove a friend wrong that he rather play with a guy like Marner for 6-7 years versus a guy like pavelski or Couture who potentially could only be 1 depending on who they take between the two

Well IMO it is highly unlikely JT goes to Toronto. Funny thing is, Toronto doesn't need him and it doesn't fix the issues they have which is D.

Dillon will probably be a casualty as well as Pavelski.

Demelo is gone and Jumbo is overpaid. They have plenty of young players on entry deals that could fill the bottom 6 holes. Pavelski either gets traded or takes a pay cut at 34 years old. Tons of room for Tavares.
