Great trade for Vancouver but its a bad deal for the Jets, Juolevi is a borderline bust and Strecher is a nobody. You'd have to offer up at least 1 1st rounder as well. But by now its not making as much sense to make that trade so the Canucks would be better served to continue building their own team.

Wow, 40 points gets you 4 mill/year these days? Impressive.

Re Jets deal: considering Winnipeg is trying to win-now with the strong core they have, its unlikely they’d do that trade. Stecher is most valued in Vancouver and I’m fine with that being the case. Winnipeg probably views him as a third pairing guy though. Juolevi is one for the future that won’t contribute to any potential Stanley cup run now

Re Bjorkstrand, I’m not sure he’s dumb enough to buy into the Vancouver market ???

you cant call Juolevi a bust, he got drafted 2 years ago, its way too soon to call him a bust, and its not like hes not getting better, he had solid stats this year playing with grown men, and had a good world juniors. but i doubt the canucks would want to even trade him in the first place
EDIT: you cant call stetcher a nobody, he played a full season in the NHL and is still young and only being a -7 on one of the worst teams in the NHL? pretty good to me

id say maybe 3.75, but the canucks have cap space so im sure slightly overpaying someone isnt a bad thing

Despite being an RFA, his lack of NHL playing time does not make Bjorstrand eligible for an offer sheet.....I believe I have that correct.
