Besides Carlo, those are all just mediocre pieces
And it’s doubtful anyone takes Backes off your hands

If u center a trade areound Landy for Carlo +
That might get it done
But the + has to be something legit
The AVs aren’t trading their Captain for depth players/prospects

Heinen is a solid 2nd line winger that has potential to be even better, and then a potential 1st as well. If not it’s a second. I could add a better prospect though. Perhaps Fitzgerald or senyshyn.

Heinen scored 16goals
That’s FAR from being proven as a “solid 2nd line winger”
He could just as easily be a 3rd liner

Nothing you’re giving them is remotely close enough to get their CAPTAIN...
AND take that crappy Backes contract

These kinds of trades where u just add on many parts & think that it totals up to significant value are nonsense

It’s just not realistic

I get the backes thing. But heinen is actually a great playmaker and player in general but yeah he could be a 3rd aswell. He is gonna be a piece probably if the bruins trade for panarin. That’s why I thought he could fit in this trade. Do you think there is any chance that the Bruins could trade for landeskog and who would be involved?

I like Heinen and I think hes a legit middle 6 winger, 50 pt player. I don't like carlos game and he isn't any better today than day one on the ice. sure he probably ends up a second pair guy if he fixes his sophomore slump. lands is a top line player andri can play and maybe get better. backes and his 6 million on the cap back is a steal for this team. it lets you resign macavoy donato and have money left. you move krejci next offseason and then you get a shot at really having some cap space next offseason. how good would pannarin or tyler myers or seguin added to the core. I can live with the return if backes is part of the outgoing package. if they said they wouldn't take him then I think this trade shrinks to carlo/lands with maybe some miner pieces.

You saw how Sakic handled Duchesne right? While this is fairly reasonsble taking McNeil and Andrighetto out, Avs aren’t doing it.

I think its pretty even considering the second rounder included. It might take a 1st if they are to take the backes contract with not retained money, but i would still do it. I'm worried Carlo won't take major steps forward, Heinen is good but not great. I think we need to cash in on their high perceived value now.

Backes would be good leadership and marketing value to a Colorado team and his actual salary drops down to 4mil next year

I also agree with flipping krecji next year for whatever and we'll have some room to play with for next seasons FA's

Well idk why the AVs would want to trade their Captain?
They just made the playoffs last year,
so they’re in “win now” mode
Seems like they wouldn’t move Landy

But IF for some reason they did,
it’s very unlikely that it would be in an 8 piece trade like u suggest
Those big trades are super rare
It’s weird to me that so many ppl try to propose stuff like that on here

Carlo + for Landeskog would seem much more likely
But only IF they feel like they need those pieces they’d get more than their Captain
I can’t see it happening
That’s just me though
