Again, I think Panik can be around a million for 17-18...same with Gustafsson and Pokka. Think between those savings and not having either Flash or Baun and you can keep Shaw.

Assuming you could theoretically save 600k on Pokka, 100k on Panik, and 500k on Gus, that still leaves only 1.5M (assuming a $76M cap and Panarin hitting bonuses in 16-17). I'd rather send Baun down and use the money for Teuvo.

I like this roster over all. the only thing I would do is use the panik money and give teravainen the X amount of dollars he is worth. And Tweak the lines for example , Put Teravainen on the second line center move Anisimov to the Toews and Hossa Line and put Fleischmann and Kruger on the 3rd with Motte centering the 4th line.

Like the roster too, doubt they are able to keep all those rookies up, some may not be nhl ready, say caggiula, they may also want a more solid veteran filled back end, pending how well their d right now fairs in the playoffs

I think Panarin costs at least 6, and Teravainen around 3. I like the lineup, but unfortunately I don't think the money situation will work out this splendidly for the Hawks.

If Teuvo wants 3 I'm happy to move him for a 3/4 D prospect and a pick. I think he knows he can earn a bigger deal on the Hawks if he takes a two year bridge, but who knows?

Panarin's contract is very interesting to me. He's been outstanding and he's 9th in the league in points, but also literally 2 points from missing out on his Schedule B bonus...$1.725M We can all agree that Kane's impact is worth at least 2 points. Do you think Bowman can get him to consider that for his new deal? Even if it's a bridge deal like Kuznetsov? If other teams out there are willing to give Tarasenko terms...I think you NEED to at least see what's out there. There's no way they can continually trade away top talented LWers like Saad and Panarin, but also...life didn't end when Saad left.

Panarin was 4 points from missing his Schedule B. It was top 10 in points for FORWARDS not the league.

Not against the lineup but having 3 college players Motte, Cagguila, and Schmaltz in your 2017-18 lineup is very optimistic. Most players can't go from college to NHL in one year. its usually a bit longer development in the AHL before they can play at the NHL level.
