Lines in 2 Years

Description
Barring any major trades, I think the lines look like this. Then the following year, Marleau comes off the books and with the cap going up, it would give us nearly 15 million to resign UFAs and RFAs.

We should still have 5-6 million left after resigning our free agents to go after any roster upgrades we might want. Or we could trade Zaitsev and open up nearly 10 million to go after another elite defensemen should we choose.

Replaced both of them, they were both more a want but can easily be replaced. Plus we get to keep all our assets, Thanks for the suggestion!!

Negative. Marner maybe short by about 500k depending on the year he has. Nylander should be in the 6.5-6.75 range honestly based on the comps so really 14 combined is pretty close.

I feel like Ellis will get more on the open market though.

the math doesn't work. if the leafs want to sign ellis, one of kadri and Nylander will have to trade for inexpensive futures.
