Leafs fans will give this a 1 Star for trading Matthews.

As someone who isn’t a Leafs fan I am giving this a 1 Star for the Panarin Trade.

What a joke of a trade. CBJ wouldn’t even sniff that deal. It’s horrible. Toronto makes out like bandits.

You are getting way too much for Matthews. In a few years those three will cost more than Matthews alone. Why would you even trade him anyways?

Even though he'd be getting the best player, I have a very tough time seeing John Chayka launching his 3 best players for Matthews.

Have to also factor in that Kyle Dubas is well aware that he would literally be ripped limb from limb by an angry mob within hours of executing that trade.

I hope you don't include my posts as "Most Toronto Fan Posts", you are right though none of these trades make any sense.

The whole now that you have Tavares, trade Matthews makes literally zero sense. Once you get the best centre depth in hockey, you don't trade potentially the best one you have who is only 20 and who will likely go down as the best player in franchise history.

I can also say that there is no way that VGK would want to eat a contract like Nathan Horton's. Sure, it may have made sense at the time of the expansion draft, but that time has passed.

Where to start? Okay, (A) even aside from player evaluations, your first trade makes no sense because two of its elements are soon-to-be UFA's. If Galchenyuk wals one year after Ekman-Larsson exits, you will have traded Auston Matthews for Clayton Keller. With all respect due CK, and he's going to be a VERY good player, I wouldn't trade him even up for one of my local hero centers, Ryan Getzlaf, and RG isn't AM. (B) Las Vegas says no. (C) Winnipeg says no. (D) I'm adding to the cascade of one star's for this trade, which no one else has mentioned.
