Wow, I literally was just exploring this idea in my head, just because it seems like an immediate answer to the problem. Trouba goes closer to where he is asking to be, and both teams don't take a step back D wise.

I think the problem with this deal is, the Jets need a center more than a replacement for Trouba (not that they wouldn't want a replacement).
Carolina has a ton of D, so I think they'd move Faulk for possibly some center depth or forward help (or maybe a future goalie to fit into their plans?).

I guess the fans of both teams could answer this.

I feel like if you're going to be trading Trouba, instead of trying to get Faulk back, you should try going after another center.

thanks for comments gents. trying to find a short term solution with 3m in cap space in the problem. little and or wheeler are capable centres too so maybe a finding a right winger would easier. s

Canes are moving Failk because they hsve to many RD, they would not want another in return.

Its a shame that Calgary trade went threw, Lindholm for Trouba would have been interesting.
