what im going for here is obviously a bigger team... but I don't want to totally ignore skill/skating. im looking to find a proven 3-zone vetern that can hang with McAvoy for proper first pair minutes. im looking for a bigger body established young vet left shot guy to partner and grow with carlo… preferably with some better puck skills because that's carlos weaker area. im letting chara finish his career as a pk specialist and someone in that bottom pair to bring along a couple kids and break them in. moore??? not sure why we signed him but lets have a look I guess

up front I hope gambling on bennett and Virtanen pays off but they are low risk investments I think. we do have kids in the system that can take their spots of they don't pay off. I am one person that believes lucic still has enough in the tank to dominate when/if hes healthy and actually gives a damn. at 3 mill hes a pretty decent tom Wilson for the lineup at worst. getting oilers to eat 1/2 the contract is a must before I bring him back.

letting ryan donato break in slow wont hurt... I feel donato has more upside then Heinen or Bjork. with debrusk/donato I think we fill our quota for young left shot offensive wingers so trading the other 2 for a center and a right wing makes sense to me

Edmonton might have to deal a dman to make room on the payroll and in the lineup for krug but that's their problem

overall I think I was fair to the other teams and gave them players they can use and would want

These are all painfully bad
Vancouver:
Heinen is twice as good as virtanen.
Virtanen has 34pts in 140NHL games. He is 22 years old (12 days)
Heinen has 47pts in 85NHL games. He is 23 years old (21 days ago).
Zboril is a 1st rd pick under control for 6-7 years. He is 21.
Edler is #3 at best, closer to a 4 or 5 at this point in his career. His advanced stats are ugly. He has one year left on a deal.
This would be an awful deal. Awful.

Calgary:
OMFG NO! What in the world are you thinking?
Sam Bennett stinks. He has never scored 20 goals in the NHL and was given all the chances in the world. He has had 26 points. TWENTY-SIX points each of the last two years. Danton Heinen had 47. Almost twice as many.
You want to give up JFK and very promising 2nd rd pick who had a very solid (similar to debrusk, but better) year in his 1st AHL season. A solid two way center who worst case projects as a 40pt two way center.
Then you want to give up a 1st rd pick. WHAT?!?!?
THEN Noel Acciari who has exactly ONE less goal than Bennett in 22 less games and it half the price. You want to get bigger, but Acciari had more hits in 22 less games.

Edmonton:
Krug and Klefbom are pretty close to even. Depending which team you root for you think a 3rd should be added, but you want the bruins to take an awful Lucic. 10 goals last year. Same as acciari.
Give them our best forward prospect in Bjork. Yes, he actually is. He was last year and won the 1st line job and was nasty with Bergeron and Marchand until he got a concussion. He will put up 40-50pts easily this year.
AND Chelarik an NHL ready winger who has played well in limited NHL call-ups and is almost a point a player game in NHL.

Yes, Every team would love the Bruins to offer this. This might actually be worse than the Seguin trade.

I'm with you on this, but it's pretty nuts to say so definitively that bjork will have 50 points when he might not make the NHL.

Cehlarik has never been near a point per game player in any league, least of all the NHL. 4 points in 17 games

Bjork was their top forward prospect heading into last year. He was slotted with top line from training camp on until concussed. He struggled after, they sent him down to gain confidence and brought him back up and played him with krejci because 1st line was dominating. He will be back on the 1st line this year to start the season. Kid is nasty.

61 points in 84 games is near point per game? Really?

And that's just dopey to think that of bjork. They sent him down because they wanted him to get some seasoning in the ahl because after a hot couple weeks he looked lost in the NHL. Then he got hurt. He could well need some ahl seasoning, which is not a knock on the player

Ok -- .73ppg in the ahl.
That is not what happend with Bjork. He had 8pts in 15 games to start the season when the Bruins were not playing well. He had a concussion on 11/11 and missed 3 weeks to a month. Struggled when he came back because he was afraid to get hit, got sent down and played well after a few games, played well in his 1st game back (14m) and was hurt early in his 2nd game back. I guess we'll see, who is right, but I would bet barring a trade, he starts the season on Bergeron's right side again. No reason for the plan to change.

Also no reason to think that’s the plan
