I can see Buffalo trading for Dzingel using a 1st, whichever 1st is worse STL/SJ.
Duchene deal is fair.
Switch Brannstrom for Theodore and theres a deal.

So you’re grossly undervaluing Mark Stone here. If CGY doesn’t pass the first round is that trade Tkachuk for him straight up? And then a 3rd and a bottom 6 forward isn’t gonna get you a 1st that could potentially be lottery. The Vegas deal isn’t horrible value. No chance you get a 3rd for Paajarvi. I think WPG is severely overpaying for Duchene, especially if he re-signs. All in all, 2 stars.

Calgary fans wouldn't do Tkachuk for Stone straight up apparently.
Yeah Dzingel isn't worth a 1st unless its to Buffalo who have 3 1sts and can use the worst one.
Vegas deal isn't bad but not great, id want Theodore over Brannstrom.
Paajarvi gets u a 5th
Duchene deal is an overpayment. I think if they remove Petan and the 2nd and have the 1st conditional on him resigning, it would be a fair deal

If I'm Calgary I take that trade in a heartbeat. Tkachuk will never be on Stone's level and with that condition it's a late pick. Dorion probably laughs and hangs up upon hearing that offer.

Dzingle likely isnt worth a non playoff team first. But if you're a playoff team, getting a young 20G player on the right side would definitely be worth my 1st rounder 16-31. I'm team Dzingle though and hope he doesnt move. (Sens 2nd best goal scorer last season...albeit with an asterisk on a bad year but still. 23G is a great player) 20G20A players aren't stars but are still a large part of who wins you games.

Once again an Ottawa AGM thinking that Erik Karlsson is worth three first-round picks which wipe out the advantage McPhee got in managing the expansion draft so brilliantly. If Las Vegas was willing to pay top dollar for EK, this deal would have been done already! After all, how could the price be any higher?
