Considering how much VGK overpaid in order to get Tatar (2018 1st, 2019 2nd, 2021 3rd), they won't let Tatar go that cheap...

Okay 1st Kapanen for Tater makes 0 sense. Vegas just gave up a 1st a 2nd and a 3rd for him so no way are they trading him AND a 2nd for a rookie/sophomore. Also Leafs don't want Tatar especially if giving up Kapanen.

2nd CAN WE STOP WITH THE TANEV TO LEAFS CRAP!! Especially trading Zaitsev!! Zaitsev is MUCH better D then Tanev iMO. Yes Tanev has a slight edge defensively... maybe but Zaitsev is WAYYYYYY better offensively. He had 1 bad year, can we wait before sharpening the pitchforks and lighting the torches?

3rd Even the Nylander contract isn't enough... lol

I don't see why the Leafs would want Tatar. Sure the Leafs got a RHD in Tanev but had to give one get him. Are the Leafs any better?

Thanks. The only better deal I see them getting is for a guy like Nino and I'm really not sure that's a better trade. Nylander is going to ask for that kind of contract but around $6.25M but the Leafs will want him to take a paycut for the next years contracts. I think Zaitsev's 1st year was unrealistic but so was this years he's around a 20 Point D-man. But Tanev is a better Defensive D-man and the Leafs need more defence not offense. People remember you gave up 7 Goals in Game 7 because of the D.

3rd Rounder in the Vegas deal. And Vancouver's so desperate to get rid of D they'd retain half.
