That is not what they think they can get. I'm not a Sens fan, but stop. The amount of Sens fans overvaluing is more than doubled by the other fan bases being jerks and telling them they have to settle for scraps because he's UFA.

First trade is pretty fair, The 2nd one is awful for the Oilers Gaborik has zero value Draisaitl+1st for an extended Karlsson should do it. Not sure why you've Sekera in the lineup he's done for the year.

Youre right its so annoying. I think Klefbom + Yamamoto and a 1st is a fair deal. All I want is a top 4 replacement for Karlsson, a great prospect who can play in the top 6 and a 1st.

Klefbom + Yamamoto + 1st is what Ottawa fans think they can get. It's a huge overpay though.

When you compare it to the likely Vegas deal, it's not though. Let's say Vegas offered Theodore, Suzuki, another roster player and a 1st for Karlsson and Ryan. And a lot of Vegas fans are fine with trading that package for King EK.

But yeah the Drai one is bananas. If Drai was part of the package and Karlsson went to to Edmonton with an extension, I'd add a small plus to draisaitl and call it a fair deal.

Couple of differences here: (1) Vegas may think Karlsson puts them over the top this year - and he may. Edmonton is not pushing for a Cup this year, trading young players and futures for 1-year of Karlsson doesn't make sense, and (2) Vegas has the cap space to re-sign Karlsson, Edmonton does not. So their assets out not only gives them a premier defenseman rental, but also first chance to re-sign that defender long-term without the competition of the free market.

It's awful on purpose. I do agree with you on this though.
