Description

Ducks will lose Perry for about 5 months. They obviously need to trade for another top-6 winger. Anders Lee is one of the best possible options to them. His price is high, but he worths the shot. Specially in my scenario, when he re-signs for a long-term deal, based on Pacioretty's re-sign.

I'm not a Ducks specialist, so Idk if the value is there. But I made the trade based on some analysis. Be my guest to disagree (or not).

Ducks are in bad situation next year. 14m to spend on 9 players. A 7 mill Lee (or anyone) seems unlikely.

Way too much? He scored 40 goals in a season after a 34 goals season. So, why it's too much? He should scored 50 to worths that much?

Ducks will have almost 9M cap relief next season, cause of their future UFAs. They can promote their top prospects (Steel, Jones, Comtois, Larsson and Welinski) to fill those spots. So, I think it's possible to get and re-sign Lee indeed.

Yeah, I'm taking your side in this. Ducks really aren't in that bad of a situation. Granted, some of their contracts do look bad now, but it's not extreme. They can easily make it work.

Wow! 20??? You're depreciating Lee's scoring ability. Tavares is one of the best playmakers in the game. It's a no-brainer. But Barzal is the future of the team and he's a great playmaker as well (63 assists in 82 games and 85 points). If Lee plays alongisde him, I think this duo can be almost as good as Tavares-Lee. In my scenario, Lee could also play with Getzlaf, swaping position with Rakell. I think we don't need to say here how talented Getzlaf is as a playmaker. So, I can bet with u that Lee will score at least 30 goals, if he plays the season alongside Barzal or another great playmaker, if he's traded.

Barzel also benenfited from the Tavares affect playing second line minutes against easier competition. Barzel will get 60 points this year. Lee will get 20 goals. And the isles will be a bottom feeder in the east

Well, it's your opinion. But I still think you're wrong about both, Barzal and Lee. I don't think Lee will score 40 goals again, but he probably will score 30 or at least more than 25. Barzal has a great upside I think you're really depreciating the kid. Maybe Islanders is the worst team of the division. But both players are very talented.
