To proper rebuild you need roster players, prospects and picks. Not just picks. Depth even if it is weak depth is important. These trades do not help this team moving forward.

How not? A rebuild doesn't start because you get picks. You need asset management. You need players to ice that take pressure off the kids, show them how to be pro's and move them for further assets. It is why you are seeing teams more and more move high picks back for more later picks. If you have a chance for a lottery pick obviously you don't move that. Its all about asset management and building an organization. Arizona proved that four several years by taking on dead contracts for picks and hoping that drafting would be enough. It was only until they shifted to a more win by committee mind set that they are now looking at future success with lots of depth. First round picks dont make you a cup champ.

your a leafs fan...how did the leafs get their best player? Literally how did every single contending team get their best player....draft? cool.

there's also the little fact that every trade is so massively lopsided in the sens favor.

I dont even know how to respond to that. Thank god you are just on this website, you would be fired your first week.

First of all, I did not agree with these trades what so ever. And yes to rebuild its more than just drafting, thats fact. ASSET MANAGEMENT. That is drafting, trading, signing and developing.

I am also a hockey fan. Yes the Leafs are my team, but unlike some people on this site I can objectively respond to posts. Not just hunting around to leave crappy comments, which you do everyday. Logan calls you out for it, I am going to start as well.

I agree, it's all about asset management. You know what's great asset management? Absolutely fleecing 6 different teams or whatever it is in this ACGM. He's trading a 3rd liner and a pick in the 20s for the most valuable draft pick in the NHL for f*s sake.

This is unreal asset management, there would be statues built of this GM. There would be investigations into the motivations of the other GMs.

just think about this.... boedker, ceci, and JG Pageau, along with a pick in the 20s and a pick in the 50s, gets you two highly likely top 3 picks......that isn't good for a rebuild? really?

Dude, settle down. Again, again, again, I DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TRADES. I spoke against them.

Ive stood by my original statement from the start, where I said I do not agree with the trades.
