Parayko is our best Defenseman so far. We would need a 1st Nylander Gardiner and most likely a Liljegren, Calle, or Dermott. I wouldn't be terribly displeased with this deal, but when it comes to our blueline Petro should be the one to go first.

i think Leaf fans are funny....they don't think Nylander is a 7-8 million dollar player as most them wouldn't be happy if he signed for that #, but still somehow think his trade value is that of a 7-8 million dollar player.

Does not matter what you say a 22 year old 100% controlled high skill player has a lot of value. But this does not make sense to do seeing how like it's been said that Pietrangelo would have to go money wise for the Blues.

If he was hitting the market this offseason there’s no doubt he gets 7 and maybe he gets 8

and last time i checked he hits the market in 4 years. This point is invalid. He may be valued as a 7-8M player but he gets paid 5.5 for the next 4 years.

I wasn't just referencing him solely, I know he makes only 5.5. I was more or less talking about all the Leaf fans that think Nylander is worth whatever they want.
Parayko and Seth Jones are not what their cap hit say they are. Both(probably more Jones then Parayko) are closer to 7-8 million dollar players, hense why jones's contract is an absolute bargin for a player that can win the Norris right now. too bad he is done are awhile.
