No they dont. Faksa is not tradeable asset for Dallas. I would think that Maatta and sprong for Honka and Janmark straight up would work.

Our centre depth is too weak. I think if you subbed him for Janmark it would work

Honka is no sure thing and the Pens depth on D is already suspect with Schultz out, they really can't risk that kind of downgrade (plus losing Sprong) for Faksa and a 3rd. Turning Faksa into Janmark just makes it a one-sided joke.

If the D is already suspect why get rid of Maatta? I don't follow the Pens but I thought he was pretty good

That was my point, Pittsburgh can't afford the downgrade from Maatta to Honka even if it was Faksa coming back.

You know what you get with Olli: enough good to be a valuable contributor on a contender, enough bad to make him a headache and easy scapegoat. He's an average 2nd pairing defenseman with excellent hockey sense who can get burned and look really bad due to a lack of footspeed.

Honka is a high draft pick that plays a position of need and yet cannot regularly defend his roster spot from aged vets and people playing on their offhand. He's an offensive defenseman that has yet to produce tangible offense at the NHL level, and even with Schultz out he wouldn't be more than a 3rd pairing defenseman on the Pens.

Why do so many ppl propose trades for Honka. The only marketable thing about him is he is righty. He is undersized, not responsible in his zone and for a offensive minded dman doesn't put up points. Sounds like a downgrade in every area. He would likely be in Sullivan's dog house all the time.

Because people think Hitchcock ruined him but he's just not very good and he's offense is lackluster (NHL level) at best and he's scratched over Polak for crying out load. He might be a good fixer upper but his only value is that he's a righty, if he were a lefty we wouldn't be talking about him at all.
