As a CBJ fan, Leivo is always someone I would like but I dont think we have room. Shouldnt he be a middle 6 guy?

He is kind of a 3/4th line tweener that can play the powerplay. Problem for him with the Leafs is that we have a 1st line and two 2nd lines, so he plays the 4th and PP.

I don't understand trading Leivo for nothing and replacing him with Johnsson who can barely crack the lineup

I don't understand the Myers deal, the other deals I can see the logic behind... but Myers is just as much of a defensive liability than Gardiner is and isn't as good at moving the puck. I'd take Gardiner over Myers any day. Also we wouldn't be able to resign Myers anyways, just like we will most likely not be able to resign Gardiner.

On top of all this you've now set us up with way to many right d, Gardiner > Myers

"TOR
Compher, J.T.
Barrie, Tyson ($1,000,000 retained)
2019 6th round pick (COL)
COL
Kadri, Nazem
Gauthier, Frédérik
Marincin, Martin
2020 7th round pick (EDM)
2020 3rd round pick (TOR)"

Tor wins this on paper, but Colorado loses interest likely at Compher.

"TOR
Myers, Tyler
WPG
Gardiner, Jake
2019 2nd round pick (TOR)
2019 4th round pick (STL)"

Winnipeg wins this one pretty big, on offensive skill and consistency. And isn't Myers a right shot?

Why would the Leafs have to give WPG a second and a forth for Myers? Gardiner can skate and Myers can't. On the open market Gardiner will get 6-7 million, Myers can't skate and will be lucky to get 5 million for sitting in the press box 2 yrs from now.

Leafs lose in every way. Worse they year, lose trade picks and it hurts there cap next as all the PB bonuses can't be paid
