even if he doesn't completely fit the role doesn't mean you trade him for much less than his value. To see if he fits for certain I think he needs more time anyway

I would say that Silfverberg is better player than Brassard

its is close to who is better but brassard can lay center so his value is higher.

Brass has a higher ceiling for sure. He just can't adjust to the pens system. My guess is he may be gone come trade deadline for a younger player who can.

That would not be an accurate conclusion to the comparison.

What are you basing that on? Brass was on a decent point streak before getting hurt last season, and he's got five points in eight games playing almost entirely as a winger this year. How is he not adjusting?

I think the fact he's on the wing says a lot. I don't think they envisioned him being on the wing. He kind of got placed there after not really clicking on a 3rd line. He's a center not a winger.

And while his point total is set for a 50 point season, if you really look at it, he's on pace for 10 goals this year. My guess is they were hoping for a 20 goal scorer player who Brass has been in the past.
Those kind of things lead me to the not really fitting in thing. His numbers kind of struggling, his on ice impact really isn't that noticeable, he's been injury prone since he's got here, he's injured again with a nagging injury it's the beginning of the season. I don't think any of this is what they had really expected when bringing him in.
