imo matthews and him would have very similar value......but not answering your question but telling you what I think .....mackinon is playing so good hes at top 5 center I don't see him ever being traded...matthews is like Crosby or ovechkin to his respected franchise......he can't be traded

I see Hainsey more of a winger than a centre . Could never figure why folks so critical of Hainsey. He's a 3m bargain. Hasn't he allowed Reilly to be better?

Obviously they are both the cream of the crop in terms of centres, but MacKinnon definitely has more value. First off, he's the better player, and Second, he's got a disgustingly good contract. He's making 6.3 for like 6 more years or something, and Matthew will be making nearly twice that.

They're both phenomenal players, but Mack is in a tier above Matthews. MacKinnon is in the tier with McDavid and Crosby, and Matthews is in the 2nd tier with Bergeron, Scheifele, Tavares etc.

Exactly, franchise players are only moved for franchise players. No matter what Toronto loses that trade. Unless we can get another franchise player, same age, same potential and better contract than what Mathews will ask for. Btw, I do not think that exists.
