I think the ducks one makes the least amount of sense. They already have major cap issues going forward so to trade Manson who is making a sweet heart deal of 4.1m to add Nylander who would have to be signed in the 7m range. They currently have 15 guys signed and only have 5-6m in cap space left to fill out their roster, which includes trying to find a way to re-sign Silfverberg.

Unless Ducks are planning to tear it down and move out big contracts. Don't see Nylander fit there

GMPF should be fired if he traded Dumba for that.

Cap isn't going up 5-6m dollars, Have fo till out the rest of the roster with 8 more guys for a full 23m roster. You add Nylander you are 15 guys with roughly 3.5m in cap space left while trying to finger out how to resign one of their most useful forwards in Silfverberg

Like I said unless ducks are tearing it down a bit, the numbers don't work for Nylander at the price for Manson

Just FYI, that 15 number is wrong. Something is bugged on the ducks roster where they count the cap hit of injured players but not add them to number of rosters. They have like 19 current NHLers signed next season I believe.

That being said as deep as the ducks are on D they only have 2 nhl caliber RHD right now. Lindholm was moved to the right to make up for it.

Player wise yeah he’s exactly what they need. Current roster construction I’m not seeing the fit, feels like it would be one step forward two steps back with weakening their d core and probably lose one of their best defensive forwards for a pure offensive guy in Nylander.

That trade is horrible for the ducks. Manson is one of the best defenders in the game and he's on a steal of a deal. Even if the ducks get Nylander, they would still lose the deal

Of the three trades, Nylander for Dumba seems to me to be the fairest, but still a little favorable to Minnesota. Toronto doesn't get enough in the other two deals, and I'm a big Josh Manson fan.

Correct. Adding Nylander to the 13 forwards they have signed (not counting both Silfverberg and Aberg) for $7.5M plus the 5 defenseman (without Pettersson) plus Gibson (without a back-up) gets to roughly $82M. Adding Nylander alone at that hit would require moving one of Cogliano/Eaves/Rackell, and Anaheim wouldn't trade Rackell without incurring a much larger hit on the way back. Anaheim's stumbling block is that Perry contract ($8.625M).

The only player who makes sense is Fowler, because both Larsson and Pettersson look NHL-ready. Frankly, I don't see Anaheim moving any one of their top 4. Fowler and Lindholm are All-Star good, and Manson and Montour are very good. So why is this team just going through the motions? It's a mystery to watch these guys night in and night off.

If the add nylander to the current roster, next season they would have to let silfverberg walk, move cogs or eaves and play all the kids they have been this season and it’ll be close. It’s doable tho.
