Montreal doesn't have the pieces to land Hampus Lindholm, This deal doesn't even make a dent.

So give away the only RD Montreal has left right now and then add another LW which they don`t need and give away 2 1st rounders to boot?
The Habs don't even bother making that call.

or are you just not a MTL fan ?

Weber , Petry ,Juulsen , Brook , Fleury makes MTL RD depth going forward strong and deep enough to move Petry for a LD of which we have ZERO frigging prospects for top LD in our system period .

Lindholm incase you didnt know is a legit top LD who's turning 25 , your lack of ability to recognize this says a lot about your limitations when it comes to Hockey IQ

actually Lindholm is a liability in his own end having a career low in his 6th year in ANA with Muhara knocking on the door as a much more complete D overall thriving in all situations not just special teams like Lindholm .

that being said MTL would be more interested in Muhara who was our AHL top RD's defense partner last year , i'd love for them to build up chemistry and take the NHL by storm

The more pressing issue in my opinion is the money Anaheim would be taking on, just over $10 million. Sure Lindholm's $5 million helps, but unless Bob Murray plans on putting Corey Perry on his version of "Robidas Island" the Ducks just can't afford it. Under the cap or I'd venture to guess in real money either.
