Again, the Avs, the Avs, the Avs...don’t care. Switch teams. Nucks -Hughes and 1st. Vegas- Glass and 1st. Whatever team. Tank is worth more than any prospect. Lesser players get traded for a prospect a 1st and a 3rd.

A couple of year ago you would not have traded Pujuljarvi and a 1st for him by your standards. How would that have worked out?

I am not talking about team needs, team fit, etc. purely player value

Its like talking to a rock with you. I said you can separate the 2. I said its an over payment for the Avs, I dont care about other teams. Not all picks are valued the same and not all prospects are valued the same. Its an overpayment with the combo of those 2.

Do I have to draw you a diagram? I dont understand how you cant grasp this concept

I'm with Coga that Makar would be too much. If I'm Joe I'm only going to maybe include Makar in a trade for someone like Pettersson, and that's still a maybe. The value is maybe about right as it is but if you traded for Tarasenko the smarter move would be to include a different player as having Tarasenko on the team MIGHT get his buddy Varly to sign for less next year and retain the decent tandem they have now.
