Extreme overpayment on the Blues trade. Letang is still an incredible player and why would you trade Guentzel? Starts are not trading a great 2 way center for a garbage dman and a guy with an expiring contract

Yeah no way pens move either letang or Guzental they’re part of the solution not the problem. Stars wouldn’t make that trade; why would Pens trade 2 termed players to ducks for a rental and a bust prospect; and finally, I think a 2nd is too much for forbert

Should have put a condition on the pick, but Pietrangelo isnt garbage lol. He's way better then Letang. What I really liked the thought of is Schwartz playing with Crosby or Kessel. He has such a great defensive awarness that can could help them

Guentzel maybe, not Letang. I honestly think they need to move on from him. Tell me why Stars wouldnt make that trade? it adds depth that they need. As for the ANA trade, Silverberg is a great addition and could resign. hes got great defensive awarness that really makes Crosby's line more dangerous. Maata just isnt who they thought hed be and rust is well under preforming. Thinking now, would a rust and maata for a Coyle + on min work? Pick doesnt really matter, i just think Forbert could really turn into something on the pens

I think the opposite, that dallas trade is absolutely horrible for the pens. Brassard is the 3rd best centreman on this page, behind only crosby and malkin.

Way better is a stretch. Letang is back to his Norris form this year. 19 points in 21 games. Why trade him?

Simplify the Blues trade. I’m open to trading Pietrangelo, but not Schwartz. Would Pietrangelo for like Matta, Hallander, and a 1st workout?

Letang is playing incredible this year. No need to move him. I knew we’d see 15/16 letang this season. I’d rather make that trade for coyle at least he has term. Silverberg could be difficult to resign especially with that current lineup. I’ll take forbert for cheaper

If that trade went through; I’d personally get a tattoo of Jim Rutherford on my bicep. I think blues could get a better return than that

Faska is a beast defensively, has term, ANDDD we rid ourselves of Johnson. Brassard is certainly a better 2C than faska, but faska May be a better 3C in that role

I suppose that is a bit of a lite return. What if there were two 1st rounders? I’m a big Hallander fan and I think he was a steal.

I don't really think any of these trades work in the Pens benefit.
Letang and Pietrangelo are kind of a wash. Even if you want to give an edge to Pietrangelo that package favors St. Louis. I like Schwartz but don't think he ist worth Guentzel, sprong and a 1st. Especially with injury history.
I can't see Dallas taking that trade. They wouldn't want Johnson and have Faska cheaper. Faska is a good defensive center but Brassard fits what the Pens want to do which is have 3 line that can score. He is far more skilled than Faska.
The ducks don't want another defenseman and why would they want Sheahan. They have enough Centers
Blueger is a solid center prospect and will be in the Pens bottom 6 next year. No reason to trade him and a 2nd for a bottom pair defenseman

Well i havent seen him enough as far as the eye test to know that but almost anyone is better than brassard in that sense because brassard is worth 5 million right now and would want a raise. Pens cant afford that. Any long term cheap young centre is better because of this.

Brassard is a good 2C he’s gonna wanna get paid like one. Pens are blessed with centre depth. Always have been. Lemieux and Francais back in the day, Crosby Malkin now
