I don’t want Backes, but we can totally retain on Schenn

Boston would need to send salary back. Urho is a pretty impressive prospect. Take backes and it’s a deal

I’m not opposed to taking on salary, but the point of this sell-off is to move forward with the organization. Bringing back our former captain in Backes moves us backwards

In all fairness, it cant move the Blues back any further than they've already moved back

Don't suppose we could take Kevan Miller from you too? I know he's hurt right now, but I love his game.

I will say, not a huge fan of the return for Tarasenko. I'd be willing to do one less draft pick and add Konecny, but not sure how willing Philadelphia is willing to move him.

I really hate that Devils trade. Boqvist looks solid, Severson is mediocre. Devils 1st would probably be teens?

Tarasenko trade is sort of baffling too. Myers looks pretty good, Lindblom is fine, probably a 3rd line center. And 2 firsts which sure are nice, but would probably say no on Lindblom and one of the 1sts and add in Konecny.

I agree with what you said about Tarasenko. If you trade him you’ve gotta shoot for the moon, but you’ve gotta tamper your expectations on a Pietrangelo trade. I’m not sure many teams are gonna give up a ton for likely only 2 seasons of Pietrangelo. Either way, if the Blues plan on trading him they need to do it now. I think the return is reasonable as well. Severson gets us another puck mover and Boqvist and a pick are both worth a lot.

Severson is an average 2nd pairing D man. Petro is having a rough season so far, but the dude is a top 10-15 d man. The return here would need to include Vatanen instead IMO.
