id love staal back in Pit but not for that package. Staal is similar to brassard (better but not WAYYY better)
kessel + brassard package is worth MUCH more than that

Fleury's not bad, but I agree. Kessel's been pretty solid. Williams and Fleury don't get him. Staal might fetch Brassard and either of Maata or Johnson, freeing the Hurricanes up to trade Fleury elsewhere for rookie scoring help, though, right?

id gladly do brassard and either Maatta or JJ for staal. Carolina has so many pieces on D they can easily move one of them for scoring help. I'm still waiting for a Pesce/nylander deal. Nylander sat almost all of the third period last game. I think he could be in the dog house with head coach Babcock, so we'll see how he does this season

I just heard the pitt is looking to move kessel. I agree that Carolina could include a bigger piece for kessel but that could be easily added. This deal is predidicated on the fact that pitt want to move kessel as I’ve heard (for some reason)?

That would surprise me, but as a Caps fan, I support it.

No the media throws that out every year whenever he goes through a mini slump getting pushed down to the 3rd line. He won’t get traded for at least another year or so

He’s killing it though. 33 in 29! That’s pretty good for a 3rd liner.
