Heard the rumor. I think that's the starting point for what Detroit is asking, but in reality he probably won't fetch that much. I could see a 2nd + mediocre prospect or a 3rd + a good prospect if a team is desperate enough (looking at you Philly).

A non playoff team isn't giving a first for Howard. To maximize Howard's trade value, Wings should hope a contender has an injury to their starting goalie.

Yeah this is a bit much...also realistically he's probably 4th or 5th down on the list of rumored available goalies so there would have to be a bunch of injuries for Howard to get this type of haul.

Hes a solid goalie but expiring contract so maybe if a playoff team loses their goalie a week before the deadline ypu can extort a first but id say hes worth a 2nd and a bag of pucks
